People have been coming to the wise man, complaining about the same problems every time
One day he told them a joke and Everyone roared in laughter
After a couple of minutes, he told them the same joke and only a few of them smiled
When he told the same joke for the third time no one laughed anymore
The wise man smiled and said
You can't laugh at the same joke over and over. So why are you always crying about the same problem
The moral of the story
Worrying won't solve your problems, it'll just waste your time and energy

Really it's a great story and I read it before and maybe a scientist who did that to teach the people in the hall an important lesson.
We have to forget what happened in the past and stop regretting on it because what has gone won't return again the the left time won't come to us again and what should we do is improving ourselves and skills, learning from the last experience and trying to avoid the wrongs we did before for not failing again .
I wanna end my answer with an Arabic wisdom and don't remember clearly who is this wisdom for but I really love it
" أعلي مراتب الغباء أن تطيل الندم علي شيء فات وانتهي" .
