Good evening friends!

Let’s keep going with the phrasal verb keep going! I’m just joking around ; today’s phrasal verb is not keep going and is not joking around either!

Today’s phrasal verb has the word keep, but actually it’s the opposite of keep going is keep from.

Keep from means to resist, or avoid doing something. It also means to prevent or dissuade someone from doing something.

Ex: My parents keep me from seeing my friend Sara, and they keep saying that she’s not a good girl!

However, I get the feeling they 're not telling me everything. What are they keeping from me?

I know, there’s too many (keeps) today!! I hope you guys don’t get confused.

Please use this phrasal verb in a sentence. If you could use it in both meanings, that’s going be great.

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله أصدقائي،

فعل اليوم هو keep from وله معاني كثيرة أهمها يمنع ويخفي

ترجمة استخدام هذا فعل في المثال اعلاه:

والداي يمنعاني من رؤية صديقتي سارة.

ماذا يخفيان عني.

غدا إن شاء الله اختبار بخصوص الأفعال الستة الأخيرة.

ex) My mother keeps me from going to our neighbor

She thinks that he is a strange man!

I'm sure he is, but there is still something she is keeping from me
