Skillful is in American spelling

We say unskillful in a polite way when we try to describe a person who doesn't master his skill or they don't.

Cyclist : A person who rides a bicycle

Idiot in street and it's rude to describe someone is unskillful.

Look through has plenty of meanings

1_ Look through the window it's an example to indicate the meaning.

2_ When you read a book fast you're not reading it you just look through it.
